Only half of leaders believe digital transformation projects were financially beneficial

Yet another survey finding that only 54 percent of leaders believed that digital transformation projects were financially benefitting the organisation.

While the article attributes this to the lack of “people with the right skills, including a strong financial awareness…spearheading the change” as the contributing factor – there are financials and then there are financials.

Unless organisations take data-driven decisions based on a consistent framework, the cost-benefit financial analysis is going to remain of poor quality.
